Tattly x Society6
Have you ever loved a Society6 design so much that you just wanted to wear it? Directly on your skin? Well...
For the first time ever, we made a collection of Society6 artwork into temporary tattoos! If you hadn't heard of them, Society6 is an online marketplace of everyday design essentials like wall art, home decor and more, all created by a community of independent artists. Every purchase you make pays an artist, just like Tattly.
In this debut collection we introduce 7 new Tattly Pairs on Tattly.com and Society6.com right in time for surfing and sunning season. See the new designs and learn about the artists below!
Sleep by Steph DeAngelis
Stephanie DeAngelis is an illustrator and designer based in Los Angeles. She is a senior graphic designer at Zambezi in Culver City, CA. She was graphic designer for Rihanna’s lingerie line Savage X Fenty, and you might recognize her illustration from The New York Times, Refinery29, Anthropologie, Man Repeller, Outdoor Voices, Zappos, Martha Stewart, Bon Appétit, and Ban.do. Her personal work aims to portray women and the female form in art.
Be Brave and Live Free by Matthew Taylor Wilson.
Matthew Taylor Wilson is an illustrator hailing from Kentucky who loves playing games with his two kids and cooking. His illustrations extend into hand-lettering, and clients include Urban Outfitters, Papyrus, West Elm, and Goodreads. We love his black and white designs that are as much about the medium as the message.
Ladybugs and Shark by Lorien Stern.
Lorien Stern is an artist from Inyokern, California, a small town in the Western Mojave Desert. She makes ceramic art and runs a brand of clothing, home goods, and accessories under her own name. Her goal as an artist is to make people feel happy when they see her work with subjects related to nature, celebration, and death.
Surfer Girl and Skater Girl by Tasiania
Tasiania is an illustrator from St. Petersburg, Russia, who currently lives in Bali. Tasiania has traveled around the world in the last seven years, getting close with locals and learning from their culture. Being exposed to the design and art of new cultures and staying close to nature keeps her eyes open. And, "as a surfer, I am so blessed to see so much beauty in this world: all these waves, sunrises, game of light and water on happy people's faces. All these little things have always stuck out in my mind. In my art I express that feeling which every surfer knows, just trying to share that joy I got from the ocean," she says.
We were moved by the creativity of this new community and we soon realized that many of our Tattly Artists also have products on Society6! We're working on marking the artists who have products on Society6 right on Tattly.com, so if you see an aesthetic you love, you can explore their work as wall art, pillows, bedding and more. Slow clap for supporting artists through their individual creations!
